2013 Ladue High School Graduate Dies In Florida Boat Accident

Jessica Gartenberg, a recent graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School who was preparing to begin her freshman year at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, died Friday in a paddleboarding accident.

KSDK-TV reported that her father, Stephen, said that Florida was her favorite place and that she loved the beach and the water. A Ladue School District spokeswoman told the station that "preparations will be made to honor Jessica and the contributions she made to the Ladue Schools family."
