Laura’s life is a colorful muddle of work and home, with various responsibilities including wife of 19 years, mother of two energetic boys (ages 8 and 2), and Director of Communications at Community School in Ladue.

Laura grew up in Tennessee and has bachelors degrees in English and theatre from Vanderbilt University. She received a masters in education from Southern Oregon University, and previous work incarnations include high school teacher, literacy program coordinator, theater technician, and volunteer program coordinator. At a previous job, Laura was affectionately known as “Comma Momma” as she constantly ended up editing everyone else’s work.

She loves word games (Scrabble, anyone?), reading, hiking and quilting, and wishes she had more spare time to enjoy them.
