Rene and George Sackett are certainly doing things the right way! Diverse, distinctive and down-right delicious are words that describe the work and atmosphere they have established for the Ellisville Farmers Market. From tasty Kettle Korn to savory BBQ and all the fresh fruit & produce Missouri is so proud of, Rene has made this Farmers Market one to NOT be missed. Each week throughtout the season something different is planned from sheep shearing to cheese making, along with the usual fare and the wonderful musical accompaniment. If you're in the Ellisville area or just want to come out and see what a Farmers Market is supposed to look like, stop by Thursday's at Bluebird Park just south of Manchester at Clarkson Rd. Better yet, come out and swim at the year old water park, get some great bargains and then stay till it's over and see the FREE Concerts in the Park. I know what I'm doing on Thursday's this summer!

Great recollection and photos, it did bring back memories of my childhood. I grew up in the '70's in Queens, New York and believe it or not we did the same thing there. Many St Louisians like to point out to me the huge differences between our two cities, but in reality they are very similar. The only difference was that we played in the street or at a school yard. We always prayed that there was enough snow to ease the pain of the tackles. Thanks Jeff, oh and let's go Steelers!!!
