The MICDS soccer team knows full well there are no more easy games on the schedule. The Rams disposed of visiting Orchard Farm 5-0 Friday on a sweaty, steamy hot rain-threatening afternoon. That one was fairly easy to win. But the next stretch is going to be tougher. Coach Michael Black has called for an hour and a half practice Sunday night, followed by a home showdown for first place in the Metro Conference with Villa Duchesne; a match at Clayton then the opening round of district play. The MICDS girls basketball team won their first 14 games of the 2010-11 season. The Rams, who have several players returning from that team, are once again off to a hot start. They improved to 4-0 Tuesday night with a 49-29 win over Clayton at MICDS. MICDS is without leading scorer Delaney Hobbs but the Rams return three starters in Campbell Torchin, Emily Kyman and Cameron Jackson. They are joined by experienced varsity players Josie Cusworth and Caroline Militello as well as talented freshmen Maya Howard and Courtney Kaplan.
