Eighth Annual Loop Ice Carnival Is January 19
The Snow Ball at the Moonrise Hotel will proceed the carnival on Friday, Jan. 18.
The eighth annual Delmar Loop Ice Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19, on Delmar Blvd. You certainly don't have to live in U. City to enjoy the winter fest. The event begins at 11 a.m. There will be several events that run throughout the day. Participants can visit stores in the Loop to find ice cubes for the Ice Cube Give Away. There will be 1,000 cubes with dollar coins in them and 9,000 cubes with chocolate coins. The schedule of events for the day is as follows: Collect all 11 temporary tattoos from Loop businesses – then come claim your prize at the Pageant. $1,000 in $1 coins and 9,000 chocolate coins in ice cubes from 11 a.m. ‘til they’re gone.
