Missouri State Representative Sue Allen, (R) Town and Country, plans to reintroduce bullying legislation later this year that will require school districts to establish their own bullying policies and put them in writing so school staff, parents and students have clear steps to follow when filing complaints. Allen tells Patch.com, this move is not a reaction to the recent news of an "ugly tradition" in the form of a senior list that's been reportedly circulating within the Ladue School District for more than a decade. One year after a special election that saw Tracy McCreery obtain a seat in the Missouri House of Representatives, she hopes voters will choose her for a second term. McCreery is running to represent the newly redistricted District 71. She previously represented District 83, which included Olivette, Overland and a portion of University City. She resides in Olivette. The new District 71 encompasses portions of Maryland Heights, Creve Coeur, Olivette and unincorporated St. Louis County. She said District 71 is quite diverse. The committee backing Rep. Susan Carlson (D-University City) for 87th District state representative had slightly more cash on hand at the end of June than the committee for her opponent, Rep. Stacey Newman (D-Richmond Heights). That's according to reports filed this month with the Missouri Ethics Commission. The district is composed of Clayton and parts of Richmond Heights, University City and Ladue. Friends of Susan Carlson had about $46,000 on hand as of July 15, as compared to the $42,000 held by the group Stacey Newman for State Representative. Other highlights from the reports:
