12 MICDS Athletes Recognized on National Signing Day

  Information was provided by MICDS. Twelve MICDS seniors were recognized during a ceremony honoring their athletic and academic achievements on February 6, national signing day. Second team All-Metro lacrosse player William Morehead signed his Division I Letter of Intent to play lacrosse next year at Providence College. Senior rower Madi Hovis was also recognized for signing her letter to row for the University of Kansas. Don Maurer, MICDS Director of Athletics, also introduced ten additional seniors who have made or have received commitments to play collegiate athletics at their college or university of choice, including: Amos Bartelsmeyer – Georgetown University – Track and Field Charles Cella – University of Tampa – Swimming Denzell …

Columbia Bound: SLUH's Abeln Signs With Mizzou

The center from Chesterfield signed his National Letter of Intent Wednesday.

Center Alec Abeln cemented his "lifelong dream" Wednesday when he signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Missouri Tigers next year. "It's Mizzou—this was the easiest decision of my life," he said. "I've been going there for years. You dream of playing for the state school." Abeln is excited by playing in the SEC and can't wait to see Mizzou face off with Alabama.  "You want to play the best," he said. National Signing Day: Ezekiel Elliott Signs Letter Of Intent With Ohio State Buckeyes

February 6 is the first day high school seniors can confirm their college choices. The University of Missouri, Ohio State and Oklahoma State are among the NCAA schools looking to St. Louis for recruits.

College coaches are getting their money's worth out of fax machines today. This is the first day high school seniors playing Football, Baseball Field Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country, Men's Water Polo can submit a signed letter of intent to play at the college level. Ezekiel Elliott, the John Burroughs running back who gave a verbal pledge to the Ohio State Buckeyes last spring, confirmed that decision late Wednesday afternoon in an announcement that was also carried on live local television. 17 Ladue Seniors Sign National Letters of Intent

Seniors go onto a wide range of college sports.

Seventeen seniors at Ladue Horton Watkins High School signed National Letters of Intent indicating their willingness to accept athletic scholarships to a wide range of colleges and universities across America.
