Spirits Soar For Laduette Dance Team

The young women perform for Ladue events and all over the community.

There is a team at Ladue Horton Watkins High School that never scores a bucket or a field goal. But they are one of the most popular and successful squads year in and year out. This team wears sequined outfits and they are the "Laduettes." The team members are some of the finest, most talented dancers in the Midwest.  The Laduettes dazzle the fans at football and basketball games; pep rallies, and other school and community events. They have performed for Pedal for a Cause and assisted with a fashion show for Kids with Cancer. They always make a big hit at Blue & White night to kick off the fall sports season. Vianney Dispatches Lindbergh With the Greatest of Ease, 37-8

Griffs get out fast and dominate Flyers in opening game of Coaches vs Cancer at Scottrade Center.

There are those embarassing moments in sports. Lindbergh shot just 3 of 35 from the field and were destroyed 37-8 by rival Vianney in the opening game of the Coaches vs Cancer Shootout at Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis. And the Griffs played without the services of their top performer Brad Woodsen who suffered a knock to the head Monday against Clayton and watched in street clothes. "I was nervous not having Brad," said Griffs coach Sean Walsh." Senior 6-foot-9 Sean O'Brien picked up the slack, leading all scorers with 17 points. 86 Year Old Stopped by Fountain at the Frontenac Hilton Hotel

Accident occurs after crossing multiple lanes of Lindbergh Boulevard.

This is the Ladue Police Blotter for the Week of July 11-16, 2012 Wednesday, July 11, 2012 10:50 a.m. Ladue police conducted a traffic stop at westbound I-64/40 and Lindbergh. As a result, a male, age 27 was arrested on drug possession and being a fugitive from the City of Ferguson. 4:25 p.m. A four-car accident occurred on westbound I64/40 at Lindbergh. There were no injuries reported. 6:40 p.m. Three cars were involved in an accident on northbound I-170 at Ladue Road. Airbags deployed but no injuries were reported. 10:02 p.m. A female, age 26 was picked up by Ladue police at the Brentwood Police Department, wanted on outstanding warrants in the City of Ladue.
