Like us on the Ladue-Frontenac Facebook page. Recently in Ladue some homeowners have been victims of burglaries in the areas of Old Warson Road, along south Price Road and south Warson Road. Actually, these have not been out of the ordinary. Ladue had 21 residential burglaries in 2012 the same as 2011. In reality, theft from retail businesses (shoplifting) remains the No. 1 crime in Ladue statistically year in and year out. Ladue’s police chief Rich Wooten believes an ounce of prevention can be better than a pound of cure. “If a burglar truly wants to break into your home, he’s going to be able to do that.” Burglars are opportunists Wooten says home burglars are opportunists. Ladue police blotter report for January 7-13, 2013.
Monday, January 7, 2013 8:48 a.m. Two automobiles were involved in an accident on eastbound Highway 40/64. Injuries were involved but one of the victims declined any medical service. 4:11 p.m. Groceries were stolen from the Schnucks store at 8867 Ladue Rd. in the Crossing at Ladue. A 68 year old female was arrested and charged and released on a summons. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 11:31 a.m. An 18 year old male was arrested for possession of Marijuana at Ladue Horton Watkins High School.
