Schnucks in Ladue has everything for the holiday meal. Boned in sweet hams, turkeys, hot-crossed buns, fresh salmon; the many wines and the fresh flowers.

Eastwood noted that this time last year, it was so warm that bedding plants were already outside for sale. The meat department features sweet boned in hams ready to be carved for the holiday table. Warm it up, glaze it and …

All of this will happen over the course of the next 10 years.
With the advancement of the electronic technology and the subsequent boom, Barnes & Noble is anticipting a drop in book buying over the next decade. In order to countermand that, the national chain will close 30 percent of all of its stores. The Ladue Store in the Schnucks Ladue Crossing has remained very active, and unlikely to be one of those scheduled for closure. This was information reported nationally yesterday on NBC News.com. Patch will keep a close eye out on this situation.

Ladue Road will be narrowed to one lane while a new crosswalk is being built.
Currently, a two-mile long, 10-foot wide concrete pedestrian/bicycle trail construction project is underway in the City of Ladue. This project is known as the Centennial Greenway, connecting trails from University City all the way to Creve Coeur Park. The project is located east of I-170 from Shaw Park to Olive Boulevard. The project includes construction of a new stamped, colored and concrete crosswalk located on Ladue Road, 800 feet east of I-170. This is the area of Ladue Road at Hunter Avenue due east of the Schnucks Ladue Crossing Center. During daylight hours, there will be road closures during the month of September on Ladue Road to allow for construction of the concrete crosswalk. One half of Ladue Road will be closed at a time. …

Office Max keeps stores open nearby in Olivette and Brentwood.
The Office Max store in the Ladue Crossing Shopping Center will close its doors at 9 p.m. Saturday, and that is the last day they will be serving the public. The national chain will shutter its doors for good at this particular location, Saturday night. The good news is that all 12 employees at this location will be moving to other nearby Office Max locations in Olivette or Brentwood. The Office Max location at 8857 Ladue Road has been open the past five years. Gina O’Brien, store manager and head of operations will be relocating to the Town and Country store, closer to her home. In the meantime, all items in the store are reduced 50 percent in price excluding ink, toner, technology items, furniture and printing services. For the most part…

I would like to clarify that the job fair is not located at the Ladue store, but in the same shopping center across from Old Navy. Thank you.   more ›
