Update on Fifth Grade Center, Other Items on Ladue's Next Work Shop Agenda

Meeting Monday night includes update on search efforts for a new superintendent.

The Ladue School District school board will meet Monday night, 6 p.m. in work session at the district headquarters. The agenda for this meeting includes: Ladue continues its search for a new superintendent of schools, following the retirement and resignation of Marsha Chappelow in October. Chappelow vacated her office in November and will consult with the district until her contract expires the end of June. Applications from potential candidates are due by January 23 and the district will continue working with the national search firm of McPherson & Jacobson, Omaha, NE. Dr. James C. Christman, consultant to the Omaha firm and a professor at Pittsburgh State (Kansas) University is representing the Ladue School District with this national …

January Is Key Month For Ladue School District's Leadership Vacancies

The district is looking for a new superintendent and a high school principal. You can share your thoughts at a community forum next week.

With the holidays now in the rear mirror, the Ladue School District faces an important month in moving forward in finding new leadership in January. Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Dr. Judy Sclair, is acting as Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the 2012-13 academic year, following the school board's decision to grant Dr. Marsha Chappelow request for a leave of absence. According to a district e-newsletter, the district is hosting a Community Forum January 8 at Horton Watkins High School from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to get input from the public about qualities district patrons hope the new superintendent brings to the table. Ladue School Board to Discuss Teacher Salary, Benefits Structure in Workshop Monday

Discussion be led by Dr's Judy Sclair and Jason Buckner.

The Ladue School Board will talk about salary structure during its regularly-scheduled workshop Monday, Oct. 8, 6 p.m. at the District Office. Assistant Superintendents Judy Sclair, Human Resources and Jason Buckner, Finance & Business will lead the discussion, seeking  board direction concerning this issue. A classified staff salary report has been prepared for the meeting. Here are some of the highlights: Classified employee benefits include:Retirement from the Public Education Employment System (PEERS). The board will report on comparative salaries of other school districts in a study conducted by AAIM.
