News Nearby: Parkway West's Brad Schiff Nominated for an Oscar

Enormous talents created in the world of animation in Hollywood.

More than one Parkway West graduate has found success in the world of entertainment in Hollywood. The latest is Brad Schiff. As an animator, Schiff cut his teeth on a number of popular American television series including MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch, The PJs and Gary & Mike. It was working on Gary & Mike in 2001 in which Brad brought home a Primetime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation.” Brad's commercial directing clients have included the NFL on Fox, Nintendo and Samsung. In 2004, Brad animated on the first of what has turned out to be a series of Academy Award®-nominated features that include Corpse Bride, Coraline and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Cedric the Entertainer's Business Manager Lives in Frontenac: Part I

Eric Rhone talks about meeting up and becoming a lifetime friend of a Hollywood Star.

Eric Rhone is 47 and lives in Frontenac with his wife and three children. Eric graduated Normandy High School and is the business manager for Hollywood’s Cedric the Entertainer. Cedric is a Berkeley High graduate and the two met up as students at Southeast Missouri State University. They both launched business careers; Cedric started playing all the local clubs including the Funny Bone. Finally one day they shipped all their clothes to Hollywood and the rest of history. Cedric the Entertainer's manager, producer and friend for life has a great story to tell.

Whatever you do, come back Monday and Tuesday and meet Eric Rhone, home grown talent in the world of entertainment. By his own admission, he was nothing more than a knucklehead at Normandy High School. But he met up with Cedric the Entertainer while vying for dorm space at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, and as they say, the rest is history. Rhone has gone on to a highly successful career as Cedric's executive director, producer, contract negotiator and confidant. They shuttle back and forth between here and Hollywood like we drive back and forth to Clayton. His family still calls Frontenac home. Bromancing in the City of Angels

As "bromance" enters the American lexicon, a Ladue High School graduate recalls the rise and demise of a friendship forged while studying acting in Los Angeles.
