MVP: Week No. 4, Time to Nominate Your Favorite Athletes

Track performers getting a lot of attention. Plenty of athletes worthy of recognition.

Time to get going for MVP for week No. 4. There are many local athletes who are richly deserving of recognition. Here we go: Zeke Elliott, Burroughs track and field. first place in the 110 highs and the 300 meter hurdles, and third in the 100 yard dash at the Clayton Invitational. Elena Gresick, Ladue lacrosse. 75 goals, 23 assists, 98 points, second highest total in the metro. Katie Prosperi, St. Joseph’s Academy lacrosse. 35 goals, 23 assists, 57 points. Claire Ringenberg, MICDS soccer. 21 assists, No. 1 in the area. Rams have won 8 of their last 9 games. Haley Pryor, MICDS track and field. New school and meet pole vault record 11-3 at the Marion Freeman Clayton Invitational. Top jumper in the state of Missouri this year. Andrea Hermann…

Nominate Your MVP for Week No. 3

Track stars, soccer players, Lacrosse stickers, water polo star all in the mix this week.

Time to fire up the engines and nominate MVP’s for Week No. 3. Lots of great performances came out the annual Brusca-Strobach track meet at Ladue. Baseball teams are finding their way back to the diamonds after some rainouts. Get the Ladue-Patch newsletter every morning in your email. Free for everyone. Here’s some suggestions to start the bidding. All Patch readers may nominate whomever they want. Voting begins Wednesday morning. Again, feel free to nominate any athlete you want for MVP this coming week. Please mention some reasons why they are being nominated. Time to Vote for the Second Ladue-Frontenac Athlete of the Week

Area track stars, soccer, baseball all heating it up this weekend.

The spring sports season has reached a full fever pitch now. As the weather clears, the teams are getting outdoors for a whole host of events. Ladue needs bright skies for the Phil Brusca/Connie Strobach boys and girls track meet this weekend. Last year's event was washed out by two continuous days of rain. Expect Jehu Chesson of Ladue to be one of the big hurdle stars on display at that meet. Meanwhile, Zeke Elliott will be in the hurdle events at the prestigious annual Kansas University Relays. The field of candidates this week is outstanding: Zeke Elliott; leading the area in the 110 high hurdles; and near the top in the 100 meter dash and 300 intermediate hurdles.
