Heads Turned at Future Ram Baseball Camp

Ladue's varsity baseball coach Rob Garrett had some news to announce. He was motivating three dozen youngsters at the Future Ram Basebsall camp at Jim Wolfe Field at Ladue High. "Guys, I've got news for you. William Piwina-Worms, one of our former stars just signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals." And further, "he was one of those guys who ran everywhere. He was always the first one out of the dugout." The kids wanted to know what was going on? One asked, "coach, how many of your players are playing professionally" "Three," Garrett said proudly, rattling off the other names. Then, it was back to work.
