Donations will be accepted through Nov. 14
Residents can now donate their coats at the Frontenac Police Department as part of the 2012 Warner's Winter Warm-Up. The drive is sponsored by retired two NFL MVP and Super Bowl Rams quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda’s First Things First Foundation, in collaboration with Operation Food Search. In 10 years of hosting the event, more than 120,000 coats have been donated to impoverish men, women and children of Missouri and Illinois. “With no certain end to the tough economic times, coats are needed now more than ever,” said Kurt Warner in a press release. Coats can be dropped off at the Frontenac Police Department’s lobby, or at other locations throughout St. Louis through Nov. 14. A complete list of locations can be found here.

As it turns out, the accident victim crashed into the median barrier on the Highway 40 overpass westbound at Lindbergh Boulevard and came to a screeching halt after crossing three lanes of traffic and smacking into the guard rail. As fate would have it, the victim was on his cellphone at the time, and his inattention led to the accident. …
