Notre Dame vs. Alabama: BCS Title Game TV Schedule & Predictions

We've got your radio and tv listings for the big game, along with predictions from local coaching experts.

Tonight, the college football bowl season comes to an end, as Notre Dame and Alabama square off in the Discover BCS National Championship Game.  The Fighting Irish and the Crimson Tide, ranked number 1 and 2 respectively in the BCS poll, kick off at 7:30 CT. The game can be seen on ESPN TV and can also be heard on 101 ESPN Radio. Oddsmakers have Alabama favored by more than a touchdown, but we asked Creve Coeur and St. Louis area high school football coaches for their analysis: Parkway North Coach Bob Bunton: Alabama I am a huge Notre Dame fan so in my heart I want the Irish to win. Stanford and Pitt caved in to ND when they remembered who they were and whom they were playing. Alabama won't do that...any more than Rocky Marciano did when he realized he was in the ring with the hero of all the coloreds, Joe Louis. Alabama will win as much for its players' mental toughness as their skills. The Catholics won't be happy later tonight. And the Stanford/Pitt players will feel even…   more ›

Creve Coeur Radio Station Lays Out World Series Plans

101.1 will offer special programming along with the national radio broadcast of the fall classic between the Cardinals and Rangers.

Two months ago, Creve Coeur-based WXOS 101.1 FM had plans to rearrange evening programming, effective in early October. Among the moves, a show featuring Brian Stull and Chris Duncan was going to occupy the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. weeknight slot, followed by Cliff Saunders' "The Late Shift," which would move to an earlier 8 p.m. slot. Thanks to the St. Louis Cardinals' inspired run through the postseason, those changes have been put on hold.
