Local Physician Signs Books at Deer Creek Coffee

Dr. Cindy Haines signed copies of her book, "The New Prescription," at Deer Creek Coffee on Saturday.

Dr. Cindy Haines, who is a contributor to Patch's Moms' Council, signed copies of her new book, The New Prescription: How to Get the Best Health Care in a Broken System, at Deer Creek Coffee on Saturday morning. The book focuses on what individuals can do to get the most out of the health care system. "It's what I'd tell you as a friend, relative or patient," Haines said. Ladue-Frontenac Patch sponsored the signing, with Patch Regional Editor Holly Edgell pouring free coffee for patrons at Deer Creek. Several people purchased copies of the book for Haines to sign, including friends of hers and people who just happened to be passing by or visiting Deer Creek for their morning coffee. Dr. Cindy Haines of Ladue, a member of the Ladue-Frontenac Moms Council has just debuted her first book "The New Prescription: How to Get the Best Health Care in a Broken System." She will sign books at a Patch event 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28th. The signings will be at Deer Creek Coffee and Ladue Pharmacy on Clayton Road in Ladue. Dr. Haines is the Chief Medical Officer of Health Day; President of Haines Medical Communications and adjunct professor of medicine at Saint Louis UniversitySchool of Medicine.
