Tina Meier Speaks to Ladue High Students in an Effort to Save Another Life

Her daughter Megan died at age 13; a victim of cyber bullying.

Tina Meier, a 42-year-old housewife from O’Fallon, MO in St. Charles County spoke to half of the student body at Ladue Horton Watkins High School on Friday. Because Ladue has 1,400 students at the high school, Meier will return later this week to speak to the other half of the student body. They could not all fit into the performance center at the same time. Meier is on a crusade. She heads up the Megan Meier Foundation. She’s been on the Dr. Phil Show; she travels the country speaking to groups just like Ladue High students. Cyber bulling turns to tragedy  In 2006, Meier’s 13-year-old daughter Megan hung herself in her bedroom while her entire family was at home. Girl Talk Workshop This Wednesday at Ladue Chapel

Well Known Author, Speaker Carrie Silver-Stock Will Conduct Workshop for Teens, Tweens & Their Moms.

Girl Talk will be featured this Wednesday evening (Feb. 16) at Ladue Chapel. This workshop, free and open to the public will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall and is sponsored by the Ladue Chapel Adult Education Committee. The committee has brought in teen expert and renown speaker and author Carrie Silver-Stock to lead this lively session. The workshop has been designed for moms, their teens and tween daughters. The goal of the workshop is creating a foundation of trust and a bond between mothers and their children. A wide range of topics will include how to keep safe with technology-both off and online; how to deal with cyber bullying, texting and how to deal with the secrets girls keep.
