Call It Official: MICDS' Jack Kurzu Will Become an Oklahoma State Cowboy
Giant junior tackle decides early after reviewing more than 20 schools.
Bob Kurzu played tackle for the University of Florida team in the Charlie Pell era of the 1980s. But that wasn’t enough to convince his son Jack, 6-foot-4, 305 pound tackle from MICDS to head to the swamp. After looking over some 20 college choices, Jack Kurzu donned the orange baseball cap of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, much to the delight of his friends and teammates. Kurzu made it official on Wednesday before a gathering of teammates from the Rams football program. Kurzu is considering plans to enrolling at Stillwater for spring football and those issues remain to be settled. The offers were wide ranging. Witzen, Jack is a Senior, not junior. In fact, he may be eligible to graduate early. This kid is special. He has more pancakes than IHOP. I can't wait for Saturday. I don't think you have to worry about his academic credentials. My daughter is a classmate. We visited a number of very selective colleges this summer.
