Friday Food Critic: Bristol Seafood Grill

Tell us what you think about the longtime Creve Coeur restaurant on Olive Boulevard.

When it comes to restaurants, Creve Coeur, Frontenac, Ladue and Olivette have it covered.  We have some great local places that many would consider community gems. We have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop, but are unique to the area, and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets. But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not. That's where you come in. We could throw some money at a professional food critic, but that's not exactly what Patch is all about. We'd much rather know the opinion of the fine folks that eat there day-in and day-out. Bristol Bags Chamber Of Commerce Chili Braggin' Rights

The second annual chili cook-off held in conjunction with Olivette on The Go featured creations from several area businesses and restaurants.

Hot. Medium. Mild. Spicy. With Chicken, or without. Some had seafood, some didn't. Such were the palettes which were piqued in the second annual Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-Off, held Saturday during Olivette On The Go Festivities.  Check out our Photo Gallery from the event Ten entries competed for the $1,000 grand prize. Saleeby & Associates, which won the inaugural competition in 2011, did not return to defend the title. Judges included Creve Coeur Mayor Barry Glantz, Olivette Mayor Arthur Merdinian and Chamber President Jeanna Woods of Delmar Gardens And the winner is? Bristol Seafood Grill, with a mild concoction billed as "Best of Both Worlds" with a gumbo flare. The creation also took home the contest's People…
