Villa Duchesne Dismantles Burroughs on Senior Day
Saints' field hockey team heads to the playoffs with 19-3-0 record.
It was the last home game of the year and senior day for the Villa Duchesne field hockey team. A glorious fall harvest day was splashed in the glow of late fall sunlight. Parents joined 13 seniors for their last hurrah, the girls got flowers and silly crowns, heard words of kindness and praise from their new coach Vivi Keefer then went out and knocked the stuffings out of the defending Midwest Champs, the John Burroughs Bombers, 3-0. It was that kind of day from start to finish. Keefer is very proud of her girls. They played up to and beyond her expectations and they are primed for a run for the roses starting Saturday.
