Sterling Bank in Clayton gave $100,000 and celebrated the 19th installment of the downtown event during a kickoff celebration Tuesday.
Sterling Bank in Clayton has made the largest-ever donation—a gift totaling $100,000—to the Saint Louis Art Fair, the company announced this week. The bank celebrated its sponsorship of the Art Fair on Tuesday at its offices by spotlighting the role of education in inspiring young artists. Previously, the largest single donation to the Art Fair had been $50,000, a news release states. The art festival runs Sept. 7-9 in downtown Clayton. It will mark the 19th time the prestigious event has been held. Students and parents visit the Summer Opportunities Fair at MICDS.
On January 29, students and parents from across the St. Louis area gathered at the McDonnell Athletic Center at MICDS for the Summer Opportunities Fair. About 150 booths were set up for people to get information about programs across Missouri, the United States and the world. There were a wide variety of opportunities to check out, including academic programs, arts camps, athletic camps and wilderness camps. The selection of programs available were for kids ages 3 to 18. More information about the fair can be found on their website, SummerOpportunitiesFair.org.
