Councilwoman Nancy Spewak Prepares for Mayoral Race

After serving for eight years in the Ladue City Council, Spewak says she would like to take her commitment “to the next level.”

Councilwoman Nancy Spewak has filed for the mayor’s seat in the upcoming April 2 election and currently remains unopposed as Mayor Anthony Bommarito announced on Monday that he would seek reelection. Spewak, a life-long Ladue resident, has served in the council for almost eight years, representing Ward 3. “I think my biggest strength is my experience and proven collaborative leadership style,” Spewak said. “I am known as someone who gets things done.” Spewak said she admired the job done by Mayor Bommarito and thanked him for his service to the community. “I think he had a tremendous vision for his city,” Spewak said. Nine years ago, Spewak opened her own business, Property Enhancements, an interior design and home-staging firm, in Ladue. …
