Meet Adam Hotaling & Kevin Steinhouse: 2 Stars on the John Burroughs Swim Team

Both have qualified for the state meet in a variety of different events.

The Burroughs Bombers are enjoying the rarified air of a highly successful swim season to date. There’s two main reasons for this success. That would be senior Adam Hotaling and junior Kevin Steinhouse. Both will swim on the 400 yard relay at state (Second Saturday in November). Hotaling swims the 100 yard back stroke and the 200 yard individual medley while Steinhouse is a sprinter in the 50 and 100 meter events. So far, the Bombers are 8-0-1 in duels, beating MICDS late last week, 103-73. This could wind up being the best Burroughs swim team in school history. Burroughs Swimming: Undefeated in Duel Meets This Season

This could prove to be the best Bombers swim team in a lengthy history. Bombers splash past rivals MICDS 103-71.

One of the John Burroughs swim parents has been running all the numbers while pouring over spreadsheets lately. By his calculation of comparison times, the Bombers’ swim team ought to finish somewhere from 5th to 8th place in the state swim championships in November. Now those are lofty goals. The field is comprised of loaded talent from powerhouse swim programs at Lafayette, Parkway Central, SLUH, Rockhurst, Blue Springs and others. No worries for the Bombers. They knocked off bigger Chaminade this week and followed up with a 103-73 win over rival MICDS late Friday. The Bombers are unblemished at 8-0-1 in duels this year.
