Get Out

Egg Hunts, Potpourri and Vintage Car Show Top This Weekend’s Activities

In addition to egg hunts and an annual car show, chocolate-covered strawberries have arrived just in time for this weekend's festivities.

Fun activities abound this week. Some are located right in our Ladue-Frontenac area; some are just a further bit down the road. We found things to do for both children and adults from egg hunts to classic cars. Potpourri This annual 500-family garage sale has become a tradition in the St. Louis area. The families whose children attend John Burroughs Schools sell their personal treasures in the hopes that they find new homes for their no-longer-wanted items. It’s Time to Celebrate Outdoors with Song, Dance and Dogs

Since the calendar shows it’s spring, what better way to enjoy the season than experiencing special events in our area parks.

This week’s Get Out suggestions have gone to the dogs! You and your four-legged friend can raise money for the American Cancer Society by walking together on Saturday. Then on Sunday, pop over to Forest Park and participate in the many activities showcased at the Earth Day Festival. For some indoor fun you can research your family history, shop for jewelry or take your little girl to a fancy story time. New “Get Out” Features Both Family-Friendly and No-Kids Events

From a new movie, great sale, and reading activities nearby to a free concert down the road, we found a few activities we think you’ll enjoy.

You've probably seen our Ladue-Frontenac Patch two planners, designed to help plan family friendly and grown-up weekend plans. Starting today we're combining the two to provide one-stop shopping for finding activities that appeal to kids and adults. Look for this new "Get Out" planner every Thursday. Each one will feature at least five fun events, destinations and activities in or around Ladue and Frontenac.
