Car Accidents Top Recent Ladue Police Calls

Ladue police blotter for the week of Jan. 28 - Feb. 3, 2013.

The following information was supplied by the Ladue Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made. Jan. 28: 9700 Block Litzsinger Road At 8:19 p.m. police responded to an auto accident with no injuries. One car struck a power pole and downed power lines. Ameren and and fire crews responded to the scene. Jan. 31: Southbound I-170 at Ladue Road At 08:05 a.m., police responded to a two-car crash without injuries. Feb. 1: 8867 Ladue Road At 2:46 a.m., police responded to a suspicious vehicle and arrested a 25-year-old make for driving whole intoxicated. Feb. 1:  9600 Block Ladue Road At 8:50 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash that resulted in three deaths. Feb. 2: 8800 Block Ladue Road At 12:59 p.m., …

No One Injured in Vehicle Fire Outside Kirkwood

Kirkwood Fire and Frontenac Police responded after a compactor truck caught fire Thursday morning near the intersection of Manchester and North Kirkwood roads.

No one was injured when a compactor truck caught fire just outside of Kirkwood Thursday morning. MoDOT alerted Twitter followers to the incident which occurred near Manchester and Kirkwood roads in Frontenac at 6:25 a.m. The fire did not cause an accident. Kirkwood Fire and Frontenac Police responded to the incident. According to Kirkwood Fire Chief Tom Openlander, the only way to address this type of situation is for the compactor truck to dump its load and for firefighters to start spraying water on the debris, City of Kirkwood Public Information Officer Beth von Behren said.  Follow Kirkwood Patch on Twitter @KirkwoodPatch.

Car Plows Into Building at Delmar and Midland

No injuries reported in Friday afternoon crash.

A vehicle struck the Zeigler Enterprises building at the corner of Midland and Delmar about 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. According to University City Police, the driver of the vehicle was on Midland and turned into the building instead of making the right onto Delmar. Officers at the scene told University City Patch that no one was hurt and the crash was "just an accident." The front entry to 7201 Delmar was crushed in from the impact. The building is next door to Winslow's Home.

I completely agree!! There is definitely more to this. I turn at this corner from Midland everyday and there is no way. I mean this parking lot is much higher than the street level. There is a secret being kept here.   more ›

1 Injured in Interstate 170 Crash Near Ladue, Delmar

The two-car crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a Ladue Fire Department official said.

One person sustained minor injuries in a two-car accident Saturday on southbound Interstate 170, a Ladue Fire Department official said. It happened between Delmar Boulevard and Ladue Road. Officials received a call for help at about 8:40 p.m., Lt. Gary Kreitler said. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the scene had been cleared by about 10 p.m. The accident shut down all but the left lane of traffic on southbound I-170 while emergency officials worked the scene. The Ladue and Olivette fire departments responded to the accident, Kreitler said. Police vehicles and tow trucks also provided assistance. A utility light more than 20 feet tall lit the area.
