Severe Winter Weather Impacting Ladue Superintendent Search

Three candidates are scheduled to interview this week in closed-door sessions. An announcement of a finalist was scheduled for Monday.

Mother Nature is having an impact on the Ladue School District's search for a new superintendent. Finalists for the post had been scheduled for interviews with district leaders, staff and groups of community stakeholders this week, with plans to announce the new superintendent Monday night. Dr. Donna Jahnke, Ladue's Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning was interviewed Tuesday night at Ladue's administrative headquarters. Plans to interview Dr. Jonathan Lamberson, Superintendent of the Riverside (IL) School District 96 in suburban Chicago Thursday and Dr. Fred Czerwonka, Superintendent of the West Plains (MO) School District on Friday have now been consolidated to Friday and Saturday. Thursday Storm Gives Way To Cleanup; Many Schools Cancel Friday Classes

Some areas saw as much as 6 inches of snow, sleet and frozen precipitation.

A Thursday forecast of snow, sleet and other freezing precipitation that largely followed through as predicted will see Missouri Department of Transportation and other municipal street crews working into Friday to get ready for the morning commute. That, along with a National Weather Service forecast that called for additional nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch, has led many school districts, including Parkway, Rockwood and Ft. Zumwalt among many others, to cancel classes Friday. Our news partners at FOX2 have a complete list of school closings.
