Caroline Militello, MICDS Soccer: Patch Female "Athlete of the Spring"

Star in soccer and basketball has already committed to playing at Columbia University in the Ivy League.

To say there are many outstanding female athletes at MICDS would be an understatement. But in the end, one really stands out. That would be two-sport star Caroline Militello, 17, a junior who has already agreed to play soccer at Columbia University in the Ivy League. That makes two Ivy Leaguers in the family. Her brother Thomas is a rising quarterback at Dartmouth. Militello who plays forward in basketball and attacker in soccer is the Ladue-Frontenac Patch Female Athlete of the Spring. She stands out in any crowd. Militello comes from quite an athletic family. The blood lines are good. The backyard basketball games are a real show stopper. Ladue Dominates All Suburban East Soccer Team

Dave Aronberg named Suburban East "Coach of the Year."

The Ladue Rams had their best soccer season in modern history. They tied the record for most wins in a season (17) and set almost every school record in a variety of categories. Natasha Medler was selected "Player of the Year." Dave Aronberg was selected the conference "Coach of the Year." Stan Musial's Ladue Home For Sale

Stan “The Man" Musial's Ladue estate is listed for just under $1.8 million, according to realtor.com.

According to realtor.com, the home of Stan “The Man” Musial at 85 Trent Drive in Ladue is listed for $1,795,000. (Click here to see the realtor.com listing and photos of the home.) As previously reported by Patch, the baseball hall-of-famer passed away in January at the age of 92. He was reportedly surrounded by his family at his Ladue home at the time of his death. According to realtor.com, the home sits on three acres and is 5,286-square-feet. It includes four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a grand foyer with a checkerboard marble floor, a pool and more. Americans across the country are reacting with shock to the devastation caused by a 2-mile wide tornado in Oklahoma. Didn’t Get True Religion: Inmate Charged With Stealing Clothes from Saks, Police Say

Frontenac Police said Robert A. Floyd and others stole 27 pair of True Religion jeans and five pair of True Religion shorts, valued at a total of $7,689.

A Florissant man currently in prison for stealing is accused of stealing True Religion jeans and shorts from Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac. Robert A. Floyd, 23, of the 2900 block of Aberdeen Drive in Florissant, was charged Friday with felony stealing. Frontenac Police said Floyd, acting with others, stole 27 pair of True Religion jeans and five pair of True Religion shorts Sept. 16 from Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac. The clothing was valued at a total of $7,689. Police said a security officer saw Floyd and others on video stealing and driving away from the store. The security officer identified Floyd in a photo lineup. Floyd was sentenced to three years in prison March 14 after pleading guilty to a stealing charge in …

Athletics have always been a big deal in the Gary and Jody Kaplan family of Ladue. John, 33, a Parkway Central grad played for Tulane University then got drafted by the Diamondbacks, was traded to the Cardinals  and is presently in the Independent Baseball League. Courtney, a sophomore at MICDS plays basketball and elite club soccer for Scott Gallagher. Lex, 18, is headed to the University of Miami-Coral Gables on a full baseball scholarship. Kaplan is one of the premier players in the St. Louis Metro and top producers and is the Ladue-Frontenac-Olivette Patch Male Athlete for the spring.
