Meet Bravo's Andy Cohen Saturday Night

NCJW's Chic Urban Fundraiser at NEO on Locust, something special.

This Saturday (April 28) will be a big night for the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW).

The women’s organization, with its roots extending all the way back to its charter in 1893 will present their biggest and most expansive fundraiser in chapter history. They are hosting Bravo St. Louis at NEO on Locust, Saturday, April 28, 7-11 p.m.

This is billed as an urban chic fundraiser and it celebrates the arrival of Clayton High graduate Andy Cohen, executive vice president Original Programming and Development for the Bravo Cable Television Network. Bravo is a very successful subsidiary of NBC Universal. Cohen, an Emmy award-winning television producer and host will be master of ceremonies for the evening.

The event is doing very nicely. Organizers set a goal of 350 tickets sold, and they recently eclipsed the 300 mark. “We are so incredibly excited about the whole event. We are thrilled to land Andy Cohen as our guest host,” said Susie Steinback Sachs, co-chair of the event along with Amy Spiegelglass Fischer.

NEO is located at 2801 Locust in the heart of the downtown entertainment district. A pre-party is going to be held 6-7:30 p.m. at FK Photo Studios across the street to meet Cohen up close and personal.

The goal is to raise needed funds to support NCJW’s mission of helping women, children and families.

This first-time event offers party goers the opportunity to experience the nightclub feel in an urban atmosphere. A live auction with a select group of fabulous items and experiences will highlight the evening. Suggested attire will be “dressed to impress.”

The event includes dancing with a hot performance by the disc jockey D.J. Raven, catering and cocktails, a raffle and hourly surprises. “I’m just not going to reveal the surprises,” said Sachs. Valet parking is available.

NEO is an urban private event venue on the corner of historic Locus at Leffingwell and Locust. The 40,000 square foot four-story building was the original showroom of the first Oakland Pontiac Six automobile.

Event tickets are $150 per person. The event plus VIP pre-party is $225.

For reservations and information, call 314-993-5181 or go to the NCJW website.
