JUNGALA at the Chase

St. John's Mercy Foundation Sponsors Mardi Gras Benefit Gala.

St. John's Mercy Medical Center and The Mercy Foundation sponsored a Mardi Gras Gala, JUNGALA, on March 5, 2011 at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. The theme, "Welcome to the Mighty Jungle!" was executed seamlessly, with "Tigers" and "Zebras, strolling "Peacocks" and human "Tree Sculptures" provided by Contemporary Productions. Themed music and imaginative decor transformed the Khorassan Room into a safari-like adventure, where guests dined on a three-course meal, featuring beef tenderloin and grilled scallops.  The evening culminated in a  spectacular showcase by skilled acrobats, contortionists and jugglers. Music and dancing followed the all-star performance by surreal wildlife and jungle creatures.

The delightful event was co-chaired by Foundation Board members, Peggy Ritter and Marsha Rusnack. Once again,  benefit proceeds will suport the underinsured and uninsured patients of St. John's Mercy Medical Center through programs in the JFK Clinic and Mercy Neighborhood Minstry.
