Crisis Nursery Fundraiser at Plaza Frontenac a Monumental Success

Swarms of celebrities worked over the guests for tips at the four main restaurants at Plaza Frontenac.

A veritable small army of St. Louis dignitaries and celebrities did their magic at the 22nd annual Crisis Nursery Celebrity Waitresses’ and Waiters’ Night at Plaza Frontenac.

While guests dined at Cardwell’s, Canyon Cafe, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and BRIO Tuscan Grill, the celebrities hustled for tips. Last year, the diners contributed more than $90,000 for this most worthwhile cause.

“Plaza Frontenac is once again proud to be part of the St. Louis Crisis Nursery Celebrity Waitresses’ and Waiters’ Night,” said Jean Ahsmuhs, marketing manager for Plaza Frontenac.

The nursery is running an on-line auction for fabulous items, closing at noon today.

A community staple, Crisis Nursery is credited with preventing the abuse or neglect of 99 percent of children while their families are benefitting from the organization’s programs.

County Executive Charlie Dooley was very busy hustling customers to the four restaurants. “The Crisis Nursery fills a critical community service role. All proceeds from the event help protect children served by Crisis Nursery,” said Dooley.
