MICDS School Teacher Larissa Powers pedals 3,200 miles over 48 days for the American Lung Association.

The big ride is over.

Eighteen bikers on a venture for the American Lung Association arrived on the Mall in Washington, D.C. ending a trip that began June 17th under a brief shower in Seattle, WA.

These riders traveled through 11 states, starting out west, going through the upper tier of the Midwest and onto the east and Washington, D.C.

These riders saw America up close and personal. They battled hypothermia in the Cascade Mountains then slipped into Idaho and Montana. They traveled through Teton Mountains in Wyoming then stopped briefly at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. The trip then swung through Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, then east to Indian, Ohio, Pennsyvania and finally Maryland.

Here are those fabulous pictures. Many more can be found on the Ladue-Frontenac Face Book.
