Villa Falls to Powerful Westminster at MICDS Tournament, 47-37
Kaitleya Frost Scores 15 in losing effort, Lauren Nickson has 14.
Top-seeded Westminster Christian Academy started strong and finished strong in a 47-37 victory over Villa Duchesne Wednesday in the semifinals of the MICDS Holiday Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament.
The Wildcats led 13-5 after the first quarter but the Saints, on the strength of the outside shooting of Kaitleya Frost and Lauren Nickson, scored 17 points in the second quarter. The Saints again outscored Westminster 10-9 in the third quarter and entered the fourth quarter trailing by just four points.
But the points proved hard to come by in the final eight minutes for the Saints as they scored just five points.

Frost and Nickson each had solid offensive games for the Saints, scoring 15 and 14 points respectively. They each had a pair of 3-pointers. But the rest of the Villa team combined for just eight points.
The Saints, who were seeded fifth, will play in the third place game Friday at 3 p.m. against the loser of the MICDS-Parkway Central semifinal game. The championship game will be Friday at 6 p.m.
