Patch is Planning on Extensive World Series Coverage

Stops at Stadium Plaza, Lester's in Ladue, Fallon's in Olivette on the Itinerary Wednesday.

Patch writers and photographers plan to be out on the route, chronicling the comings and goings from red clad Cardinal fans downtown, in Ladue and Olivette Wednesday night.

The trip begins chatting it up with rally revelers in Kiener Plaza and at Busch Stadium itself. We will find out early how those hardy World Series fans are fired up. Then, as the players are being introduced to the crowd, the Patch staff go west to cover those taking in the game at Lester's Sports Bar, 9906 Clayton Rd. and the fans at Fallons Bar and Grill, 9200 Olive Blvd. in the Shoppes at Price Crossing in Olivette.

There will be no shortage of food or beverage at either place. Lesters features its sports platter, replete with ribs, wings, toasted ravioli, and onion straws for $14 and Bud Lite draft for $3 apiece. Fallon's will have plenty of wings, burgers, fries, and cold drinks for Cardinal fans.

If Ladue, Frontenac or Olivette families plan private viewings and want Patch to cover these events, then email the editor james.baer@patch.com. We will put it on the list.

We plan on blogging the proceedings, offering photos and videos of reaction inning by inning.
