Hooray For the Red, White and Blue

All of St. Louis and the Country Will be Pulling for Ladue's Becky Sauerbrunn and Her Teammates Sunday.

The women of Summer, our side, the Women's FIFA World Cup team are the talk of the town, everywhere.

This Sunday, we will collectively watch with enormous pride as the Lady Yanks take on Japan in the FIFA World Cup 2011 championship game in Germany. Winner takes it all in this final game of the tournament. Game time is 1 p.m. CST on ESPN.

The U.S. has distinguished itself with big wins over France, Brazil and other world powers.

Sauerbrunn, who played for the Lady Rams of Ladue had a brilliant career on the backline for the University of Virginia.

Now, she plays for the Washington Federals in Women's Professional Soccer.
