Burroughs Slams Soldan, Claims Third Straight District Football Title
Ezekiel Elliott scores six touchdowns, as Bombers win big over Tigers.
MANCHESTER -- The top-ranked team in Missouri Class 3 football showed put on another impressive performance Monday night at Parkway South's Patriot Stadium, the unbeaten John Burroughs Bombers walloped Soldan International, 50-6, to claim its third straight district football championship.
Senior running back Ezekiel Elliott scored six touchdowns (four rushing and two receiving), to bring his area-leading total to 41 this season, as Burroughs won its 11th straight game.
Soldan, one of the top teams from the Public High League, which averaged 31.1 points a game this season, was held to a season-low six points by the stout Bomber defense.
