Area Swimmers Shine in 2011

The Ladue-Frontenac Patch names its first all-area swim team.

"The Dandy Dozen" brought a lot of highlights during the winter girls swimming season.

The swimmers from the five-school Ladue-Frontenac Patch coverage area (John Burroughs, Ladue, MICDS, St. Joseph's Academy and Villa Duchesne) combined for 17 individual medals at the state swimming meet last month.

Three of the five schools finished in the top 10 as a team at state and a fourth finished 12th.
