Winter Athletes of the Year

Now is the time to unveil the Ladue-Frontenac Patch female and male athletes for the winter sports season of 2010-11.

There are many to choose from as one can imagine. Our area swimmers were sparkling in the water, hauling in a host of medals at the state meet. We had an area champion in wrestling and there were a number of basketball players who put on outstanding performances game in and game out. Local ice hockey players had their moments too.

We will reveal the most outstanding athletes over the weekend. Once you see who we've selected, we are confident you will agree with our choices.

The girls outstanding athlete will be presented tomorrow and the boys choice on Sunday. The schools we cover are John Burroughs, MICDS, Villa Duchesne, St. Joseph's Academy and Ladue High School.
