Watching for Lacrosse Star Charlotte Martin at Northwestern

Outstanding two sport star at Burroughs has moved on.

There are lots of local athletes to follow. One the Patch is keeping a close eye on is field hockey star Charlotte Martin at Northwestern. A four year letter winner in both field hockey and lacrosse, she is a 2012 graduate of John Burroughs School.

She has now taken her talents to Evanston, IL and we will be watching. She played on the 2010 state championship teams. She scored 43 points her senior year and finished her career with 92 goals and 58 assists.

She was the MWAA Co Player of the Year in 2011. Her skills were equally as good in lacrosse, leading the Bombers to the state championship title last spring. In 2011, she became a first team All-American in lacrosse.

There are others to follow. Patch will be reporting on linebacker Michael Scherer of MICDS at Mizzou; MICDS quarterback Thomas Militello at Dartmouth, MICDS wide receiver Jack Howell at Brown University, Ladue’s wide out Jehu Chesson at Michigan; tennis sensation Sydney Lehman at Johns Hopkins and others.

Feel free to report information about your standout athlete to the Ladue-Frontenac Patch. We want to hear from you.
