Villa Middle School Students Remember Service Personnel at Thanksgiving

Students created more than 100 cards to send overseas in time for the holiday.

Villa Duchesne’s middle school students designed Thanksgiving cards for U.S. troops serving overseas this holiday season. Students were inspired to send the cards following a September visit from a Villa Duchesne father being deployed to the Middle East.

He told students that American soldiers always appreciate receiving mail. Villa Duchesne students responded immediately by sending more than 250 notes overseas in September and designing an additional 100+ Thanksgiving cards for soldiers this week.

The students also designed Thanksgiving-themed placemats for the Sunshine Mission. The St. Louis homeless shelter will use the placemats when serving Thanksgiving meals this year.
