Villa Elevates Graduate To Top Field Hockey Position.

1982 Graduate Vivi Keefer Takes over Field Hockey Program at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School.

Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School announce the hiring of Vivi Keefer as head field hockey coach for the 2011 season. According to a media release from the school, Kieffer brings a wealth of experience to the program.

Keefer graduated from Villa in 1982 where she starred on the team coached then by Debby Watson. Villa has featured field hockey as a mainstay sport since the school first opened in 1930.

Keefer has been elevated from the position as head junior varsity field hockey and lacrosse coach. She returned to her alma mater in 2008 to run these programs.

“Vivi brings a wealth of coaching experience along with a love of the game of field hockey and the girls she coaches. Villa's great field hockey tradition is in good hands,” said Dory Smith, athletic director at Villa.

Keefer played NCAA Division I field hockey at Davis and Elkins College  Elkins, WVa. and started the field hockey program at Whitfield School. Many of her top players have gone on to play in various collegiate field hockey programs.
