Villa Duchesne Thespians Honored at State Conference

Villa Duchesne’s Thespian Society recently received Honor Troupe status at the 2012 Missouri State Thespians Conference held this year in Springfield, Missour

The award acknowledges the high school troupe’s almost 15-year commitment to Missouri State Thespians and the International Thespian Society. In addition, Villa Duchesne’s Performing Arts teacher Brian Welch was inducted into the Missouri State Thespians Hall of Fame. The award recognizes members who have dedicated themselves to promoting educational theatre and devoted twenty or more years of service to this cause.

Welch has been teaching Performing Arts at Villa Duchesne for more than 25 years and was the only member inducted this year into the Missouri State Thespians Hall of Fame.  Over the years, Brian has had a profound influence on hundreds of Villa Duchesne students as well as the St. Louis performing arts community.
