Villa Duchesne First in State Science Academic Challenge

Students earned medals in a wide variety of curriculum.

 

Information was provided by the communications department at Villa Duchesne.

Villa Duchesne’s high school team is first in the state in the medium-school division of the 2013 Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) Academic Challenge.

Individual Villa Duchesne students also medaled in Chemistry, Computer Science, English, and Physics. The state competition is sponsored each spring by Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla.

The WYSE Academic Challenge is a competitive series of multiple-choice tests in seven subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Mathematics, and Physics.
