In anticipation of Earth Day 2012 on April 22, Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School is celebrating its recent designation by the National Wildlife Federation

America's largest conservation organization has officially identified the school’s nature trail as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.

The certification means that the nature trail supports wildlife by providing food and water sources, places for cover, and places to raise young.

Since its dedication on Earth Day 2011, the nature trail has become an integral part of the school curriculum with students hiking the trail to make plant and animal classifications, relive the Lewis and Clark Expedition, or simply explore the gifts of God’s creation.
