St. Joe Soccer Ends Season on a Winning Note

Angels defeat Springfield Glendale 3-1 behind pair of goals by Kaley Nieters.

Let the record indicate clearly, the last game of the school year for any Ladue-Frontenac Patch team ended in a victory.

The Angels of St. Joseph's Academy defeated Springfield Glendale 3-1 to earn third place in the state soccer championships in Kansas City. The game was played at Blue Springs South.

Alli Magaletta got the first goal for St. Joe and Kaley Nieters put the win on ice with two consecutive goals.

The winning goal keeper duties was split between Kelsey Ponder and Melissa Powers.

The Angels finished the year with a 16-7-1 record, winning 8 of their last 9 games of the season.
