St. Joe 'Save the Date' for Celebration at Sunset

September 10 marks the 5th annual fundraiser for the school.

Before the summer plans completely get away, mark those calendars at St. Joseph’s Academy for September 10. That marks the 5th annual Celebration at Sunset (Country Club).

The proceeds of this day full of fun benefits the St. Joseph’s Academy Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund provides tuition assistance for students who lose their primary tuition paying parent while enrolled in school. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alumni Association and the school’s athletic department.

Here is a recap of last year's highly-successful event.

This all-day event includes two golf tournaments (9 and 18 holes); a card party, tennis tournament, live and silent auction; lunch, cocktails and lavish dinner.

Right now, organizers are actively seeking major sponsors, ranging from Gold ($10,000) to advertising buyers and other event hosts.

All RSVPs need to be made by August 13. The Sr. Mary DePaul 9 hole tourney gets underway at 7;30 a.m. and the 18 hole SJA Father’s Club and Community scramble begins at 12:30 p.m.

The world famous Sr. Pat Dunphy Ball Drop will precede the start of the 18 hole event. Event chairs include Gordon Hartweger, Glen Kurowski and Fred Kostecki.

All the information can be found on the school’s website.
