Where did you go to college? and what was your major?

I went to college at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Theology/Psychology double major. Franciscan really fueled my faith fire. This passion for Catholicism is clearly visible on campus and even with the professors. When I was there, I studied abroad in Austria and participated in numerous mission trips to South America.

Tell us a little bit about your high school experience at SJA?

I made some incredible friends freshman year that I still keep in contact with. I always loved the SJA traditions because they made The Academy different than any other all-girls high school in St. Louis. I can't wait to be a part of them again.

What classes are you teaching at SJA?

I have freshmen for Sacraments and juniors for World Religions and Social Justice.

Any thoughts on coming back to SJA?

At first, I figured it'd be weird coming back to my high school and even calling my previous teachers by their first names. And it WAS odd, and still is. But my teachers, now colleagues, have more than welcomed me and are extremely helpful. Most remember me by name, which really says something about them. Though a little nervous, I know they will help me find my groove at St. Joe, only this time on their side of things.

Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?

During my senior year at The Academy, I recall knowing that I was going to be back here; I can't explain why I had that sense though. I didn't know which profession to pursue at that time, but of course, God had His plan. Oh, and did I mention how nice it is not having to tuck in my shirt?
