Scholarships: Area Unsigned Basketball Players Have a Chance to Showcase Their Talents

Boys and girls workouts for unsigned players at Vashon April 28.

Any St. Louis area basketball prospect, still awaiting a scholarship or financial aid to college can enter into a workout for recruiters April 28. This event will be held in the Vashon High School gym, 3035 Cass Avenue in North St. Louis.

Sponsored by A.S.S.I.S.T, an organization to help high school athletes get college scholarships will sponsor these workouts. The girls will be involved with games from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the boys from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registration is one half-hour before the games begin.

All participants must register in advance. No one will be permitted to walk on at the door.

The fee is $60 on line or bring the $60 fee to the workouts. Waiver forms must be signed by each participant.

The goal is to line up as many college recruiters as possible to survey the talent.
