Ronald McDonald Day at Ladue

Ronald Almost Stole the Show. Ladue Shutouts Rival Clayton 5-0

Last week, Ladue shut out the Clayton Greyhounds 5-0 in high school baseball. This day was sponsored by the Ladue-Frontenac Patch and the Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch.

Ronald McDonald himself threw out the first pitch and almost stole the show. The day turned out to be glorious weather wise with rain before and after the game.

The game was in part a benefit for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Noodles & Co. came and grilled their sample products and the samples were mostly tasted by students who made generous donations to the charity.

Everyone went home a winner. Katelyn Garrett, five-year-old daughter of the Ladue coach Rob Garrett was the proud winner of a child's bike in a random drawing. Patch and RMDH charities had other get drawing prizes too.

Here's a fun look back at all the activities on the Ladue High School baseball field.
