Playing the Team Concept

Everyone Stars as St. Joe's Steam Rolls Edwardsville.

The girls of St. Joseph's Academy are sticking pretty close to the vest and staying coy in talking about their team and their victories. Late Saturday night, the Angels roared out of the gate and led from wire to wire, beating mighty Edwardsville 53-39 in the late game of the Prepcasts CBC Girls Elite Shootout.

Maddie and Morgan Stock combined for 26 points, Maddie had 16 and Morgan 10. Sophomore Sydney Stipanovich broke double figures with 12. Senior Sophie Calcaterra saw extended playing time, especially in the first half when the game was in the balance.

In review, all of the girls talked about the team concept, stepping up and playing big and everyone rallying for the cause.
